Elderly Woman Killed, 4 Injured in Multi-vehicle Crash on Georgia Highway

According to Sheriff Joel Cochran, a multi-vehicle incident on the Johnson and Washington County line on Friday killed an elderly woman and injured several others.

He said the Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to the deadly crash on Highway 15 South at Jackson Road at 3:38 p.m.

According to the Georgia State Patrol, the driver of a gray Kia was driving north when he failed to keep his lane and collided with a white Freightliner Tractor-Trailer driving south.

The Kia then spun counterclockwise and was hit on the passenger side by a gray Chevrolet Equinox trailing the tractor-trailer.

The Kia’s driver, Rosa Cason Allen of Harrison, Georgia, was pronounced dead at the scene. Four other people were hurt and sent to the hospital, but the tractor-trailer driver was unharmed.
