Motorcyclist Killed, Driver Injured in Late-night Crash at Hancock and Circle in Colorado Springs

An individual who was riding a motorcycle and was killed in a collision on May 16 at Hancock and Circle has been identified by the Colorado Springs Police Department.

The motorbike was moving north on Hancock at approximately ten o’clock at night, according to the police. As the motorcycle made a right turn on the street, it crossed over the center double-yellow lines and collided with a vehicle that was traveling south.

The rider of the motorcycle was reportedly thrown from the vehicle and died at the scene of the accident, as reported by the police.

Based on the findings of the El Paso County Coroner’s Office, the rider was identified as Elvin Jose Irizarry Iglesias, who was 28 years old.

According to the police, the motor vehicle’s driver was transported to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

This was the fourteenth fatal collision that has occurred in Colorado Springs thus far in 2018.
