The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office said that a man is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries after his vehicle was fired at over 30 times in the Arden-Arcade region.
Sgt. Amar Gandhi, a sheriff’s office spokeswoman, said two shots pierced the automobile and wounded the victim, but did not break any skin.
Officials said they responded to Montclair Street and Marconi Avenue around 6 a.m. on Sunday.
No suspect information has been released.
Traffic delays are expected in the area due to the crash and the ongoing investigation into the incident. Marconi Avenue is closed between Watt Avenue and Montclair Street.
Motorists are encouraged to take an alternate route.
