A collision that resulted in death took place on Oil Well Road in Charlotte County.
The Florida Highway Patrol reports that there was just one car involved in the collision, and that the accident resulted in the death of a single individual.
At 3:08 p.m. on Monday, state troopers were dispatched to the location.
An automobile that had flipped over inside of a canal was discovered by the troopers when they arrived at the site.
Then, bystanders had already extracted the driver from the vehicle and administered cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on them; nevertheless, the driver did not survive.
Not only is this the third collision with a body of water that has occurred in our region in the past two weeks, but it has also resulted in three fatalities.
