After being discovered in the middle of the road in Detroit over the weekend, six puppies have been reported to be in good health.
At the intersection of Oakland Road and Louisiana, in close proximity to the Interstate 75 freeway, railroad police found the young hound mixes by themselves. It is believed that they are approximately three months old and that they were underweight but not malnourished, according to the officials.
Following their arrival at the site, the puppies were taken in for medical attention by the Detroit Animal Care and Control. Officials have stated that the puppies are presently in good health and are receiving the appropriate care.
These puppies are going to continue their recovery at two different rescue organizations: Save Monroe Strays in Monroe County and Saving Destiny in Macomb County. Both of these organizations are located in Macomb District.
It is not apparent how the puppies came to be discovered by themselves.
