Conroe police are investigating a crash that killed one man and injured two others early Wednesday morning. Police said they were dispatched to the 400 block of West Wally Wilkerson Parkway at 6:45 a.m. for a significant accident.
When they arrived, they saw a head-on collision between a GMC truck and a Chevy SUV.
Paramedics were dispatched to perform life-saving procedures on both drivers and a passenger.
According to police, the driver of the Chevrolet was pronounced dead at the site.
The Chevrolet passenger and GMC driver were taken to local hospitals.
“Chief Buckholtz and the Conroe Police Department extend our heartfelt prayers and deepest condolences to the families affected by this tragic event,” the department stated in a press release.
At this moment, no one has been identified as being involved in the crash. Police claim the dead driver was 27 years old.
There is no information on the survivors’ current condition.
The cause of the crash has yet to be determined, but authorities are investigating.
