On Wednesday, June 11, 2025, the Wood County Sheriff’s Office investigated a two-vehicle crash that claimed one life. The incident occurred on SR-582 at Tontogany Road in Washington Township.
The collision included a Honda Goldwing motorcycle and a Hyundai Santa Fe.
The inquiry revealed that the motorbike was headed east on SR-582 when it collided with a deer and collapsed in the centre of the road. While on the road, the SUV approached from the east and collided with the motorbike and its operator.
The motorbike operator was pronounced dead at the spot. The driver of the SUV was not wounded.
The motorcycle’s operator, Jonathan Little (53), was from Bowling Green, Ohio. The SUV’s driver was identified as Paul Turner (36 years old), also from Bowling Green, Ohio.
Middleton Township Medic 680 EMS, Middleton Township Fire Department, BG Towing, and Frank’s Automotive all provided assistance on the scene.
The incident is still being investigated.
