Texas Man, 33, Accused of Impregnating 12-year-old Girl After DNA Confirms Paternity

A 33-year-old guy in Texas is facing charges after police allege he impregnated a child.

According to the arrest document, Zachary Suarez, 33, was arrested on Tuesday. He is charged with serious sexual assault on a kid.

The alleged crime occurred in 2023, when Suarez was 30 years old. The victim, who is now 14, was just 12 at the time.

According to officials, on May 31, 2023, the then-12-year-old girl discovered she was six weeks pregnant while receiving treatment at a hospital.

According to a police detective, the victim refused to give the father’s name during conversations with investigators.

However, months later, when the female gave birth to the baby, detectives obtained DNA samples from the newborn.

The swabs were submitted for DNA analysis, and a “CODIS hit was received for DNA submitted matching [Suarez’s] DNA,” the investigator stated in the affidavit.

Detectives tracked down Suarez and obtained a search warrant for a sample of his DNA. Police said the sample was sent to verify the match.

According to the arrest warrant, a forensic DNA result from a laboratory determined Suarez’s paternity to be at least 99.99999998%.

Suarez was arrested and put into McLennan County Jail on Tuesday.

According to online jail records, he is being held on a $50,000 bond.
