Motorcyclist Killed After Losing Control on I-475 to I-75 Ramp, Police Say

The ramp from eastbound I-475 to northbound I-75 in west Toledo was closed for much of Sunday afternoon and evening following a motorcycle crash that killed a local man.

The crash occurred shortly before 3 p.m.

According to Toledo police, Richard Sartor, 66, of Oregon, Ohio, was riding east on I-475 when he lost control of his bike and ended up on the shoulder, then the guardrail.

The victim was then flung from the motorcycle, which continued to go for a short distance.

The freeway was closed at the scene of the accident for more than three hours.
