A motorcycle crash killed one man and injured one woman near Leavenworth, Kansas, on Saturday night, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.
According to KHP, at around 6:15 p.m. Saturday, troopers were dispatched to the intersection of South 10th Street and Cherokee Street — less than a half-mile north of KS-92 and about one block south of Shawnee Street — on reports of a wreck.
According to online crash reports, the driver of a Harley Davidson motorcycle, later identified as 64-year-old Guy Woods of Fountain, Colorado, was traveling westbound on Cherokee Street when he ran a stop sign.
According to collision logs, when he crossed the intersection, he collided with a Toyota Camry traveling north on 10th Street.
According to KHP, the man was transferred to Saint John Hospital and died at 7:30 p.m.
The driver of the Toyota, a 68-year-old lady, sustained minor injuries in the collision.
