Man Fatally Shot at Torrance Pool Party Celebrating End of College Career

On the evening of Wednesday, June 18, a person was fatally shot in a neighborhood in Torrance, and authorities stated that they were investigating the circumstances surrounding the attack.

Approximately nine minutes before nine o’clock in the evening, officers from Torrance were dispatched to the 23000 block of Huber Avenue, which is located south of Sepulveda Boulevard. Upon arrival, they discovered the victim to be unresponsive, as stated by Lieutenant Freddy Ahmad.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

Immediately after the incident, the police did not release any additional information about the victim, including their gender and age range. Following the notification of the victim’s relatives, the identity of the victim was withheld.

Members of the victim’s family told CBS Los Angeles that the victim was a male and that he was shot while attending a pool party to celebrate the end of his college career.
