A 21-year-old lady who had planned to marry this summer perished in a UTV crash last week.
Philip Markunas is Caelan’s father.
He stated that the two went on an errand together last Tuesday, and he drove his car while Caelan drove her UTV after receiving her license the night before.
“She got sucked into the side of the road and tried to counter correct it from getting from the roll the ditch to the roll and she went into a spin,” according to Markunas.
Markunas said he swiftly slammed on his brakes and spun around to return to her.
“I couldn’t find her,” he replied.
Markunas phoned 911, and Caelan was evacuated to the hospital. He stated that he held his daughter in his arms till help arrived.
“We held hands together all the time,” he joked.
Markunas resolved to make a physical remembrance of his daughter while she was in the hospital.
“I had my brother run to Hobby Lobby to go get the casting stuff, and we made two casts of her right hand and one of her left hand,” he informed me.
Caelan was due to marry this summer.
She also planned to take engagement photos with her fiancé, Mason, wearing a dress she had chosen. “We were all really enthused about it. “I mean, everyone in the entire family,” Markunas explained.
Caelan died in the hospital a few days later, on Saturday.
Her loved ones stated that they will always remember her bright spirit.
“A wonderful person to be around all the time. “It will be difficult,” Markunas added. Caelan’s mother also died, and her anniversary occurred a few days before Caelan’s death.
Caelan’s family is presently arranging his life celebration.
