Biker Critically Injured in North Columbus Crash; Second Rider Flees Scene

A biker was critically hurt in a crash in north Columbus on Saturday night.

Officers from the Columbus Division of Police responded to a complaint of a crash around 11:30 p.m. on Flint Road, near Lazelle Road, just south of Polaris Fashion Place.

According to police, a BMW S1000R and an Aprilia RSV1000 motorcycle were travelling southbound on Flint Road.

Both motorcycles allegedly fled the road and crashed into a wooded area.

The rider of the BMW was taken to Riverside Methodist Hospital in critical condition. The Aprilia rider walked away from the incident before doctors arrived.

The crash is still under investigation.
