Passenger Killed in Fort Worth Wrong-way Crash; Drivers Hospitalized

According to the Fort Worth Police Department, a wrong-way crash on Interstate 35 early Sunday morning killed one person and sent two others to the hospital with significant injuries.

Officers responded to a serious accident incident at 1:07 a.m. near I-35’s northbound lanes at Berry Street. Investigators believe a vehicle traveling southbound in the northbound lanes collided head-on with another vehicle.

The automobile driving the wrong direction had only one occupant. The other vehicle had a driver and a passenger. The passenger in the struck vehicle was pronounced dead at the spot. Authorities reported the drivers of both vehicles were taken to a local hospital with significant injuries.

The names of the individuals involved have yet to be revealed, and the crash remains under investigation.
