Teen Shot and Killed by Clerk During Attempted Robbery at Alabama Gas Station

According to police, a gas station clerk shot and killed a teenager attempting to rob the store early Saturday morning.

The Mobile County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that a 17-year-old boy was shot while attempting to rob a Lucky Seven gas station in Prichard, Alabama.

The teenager was shot on the right side of his chest and fled the scene. According to police, medical personnel pronounced him dead.

The 17-year-old was found wearing a hoodie, mask, and orange gloves. According to police, he also carried a 9mm Taurus pistol next to his body.

Authorities say the same store was robbed earlier this month by a suspect who matched the teen’s description.

The District Attorney’s Office of Mobile County is conducting an investigation.
