A 17-year-old boy has died following a tragic workplace accident in Muskegon, Michigan, according to the Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration (MIOSHA).
The fatal incident occurred on Sunday while the teen was cutting up a fallen tree at a residential property. Authorities say he suffered a fatal laceration to the neck caused by a chainsaw.
Details surrounding the accident remain limited. MIOSHA reported that the homeowner discovered the teen lying on the ground next to the chainsaw with the severe neck injury.
An investigation into the incident is currently underway.
