Woman and Her Dog Killed in Fiery I-65 Crash After Tractor-trailer Collision in Tennessee

A woman and her dog died in a horrific crash that shut down Interstate 65 for hours on Thursday.

According to Smokey Barn News, two tractor-trailers collided on Thursday morning between Portland and White House.

The accident happened at the Highway 52 exit shortly after 4 a.m. According to SBN, the Cross Plains fire chief stated that one of the tractor-trailers pulled into the shoulder with a flat tire when the other ploughed into them from behind. The impact started a fire, killing one of the drivers and their dog.

“The cab was crushed and detached from the frame due to the force of the crash,” the news organisation SBN said.

The fire chief stated that one of the tractor-trailers was transporting toothpaste and other dental supplies, while the other was transporting domestic items. Debris was spread over the interstate.
