Lara Trump emphasizes thorough planning for the upcoming election to secure victory

Lara Trump, co-chair of the Republican National Committee (RNC), said that election integrity is “vital” in this cycle and promised to devote resources to ensuring that nothing is left to “chance.”

“But when it comes to electoral integrity, it is critical. It is the most important thing we are focusing on, aside from getting out the vote, which, of course, Donald Trump will do for us,” Lara Trump said Sunday on Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures.”

“We are ensuring that this election, we are leaving nothing to chance,” she said. “The Republican National Committee has never had an Election Integrity Division before. “We can put all of our resources into this division as needed.”

She cited former President Trump’s campaign fundraiser the day before, in which her father-in-law was expecting to generate approximately $50 million. Lara Trump stated that some of the funds will go toward training poll workers and ensuring that lawyers are present in every voting station.

“We are leaving nothing to chance because we must grasp the seriousness of this election,” she stated, later adding, “People are no longer sitting on the sidelines. They understand what is at stake. This is a must-win election. And in terms of electoral integrity, we’re laser-focused on the RNC.”

RNC Chair Michael Whatley, who appeared with Lara Trump on Sunday, said the committee is working with state legislatures, electoral boards, and state secretaries to ensure “we get the rules of the road right.”

“And if they aren’t, we will file lawsuits. We have already filed over 80 lawsuits in 24 states to ensure that we have the groundwork in place for safe elections,” he said, adding later, “What we want are fair, accurate, secure, and transparent elections. And once we have it, we will preserve the integrity of the ballot. We’re going to make it simple to vote and difficult to cheat.”

The former president praised Whatley and Lara Trump, who were elected as the RNC’s new leaders last month.

Following continuing uncertainty about accurate election results, the two have made election integrity a top priority for the RNC.

In an earlier interview on NewsNation’s “The Hill Sunday,” Whatley avoided questions about whether the 2020 election was stolen and instead focused on protecting election integrity.

When asked if the 2020 election was stolen, he responded, “I believe there were problems. I believe there were concerns across the country. “We need election integrity.”

“So that we do not have drop boxes, for example, that we have voter ID, for example, that absentee ballots have to have a witness signature, have to have a signature by the voter,” he said.

When asked again whether the 2020 election vote count was “accurately counted” or “rigged,” Whatley cited his vote for former President Donald Trump.

“Look, I was part of the Electoral College. I enthusiastically voted for Donald Trump, and the Electoral College number came back,” he said. “Joe Biden is the president, and we are working all day, every day now to make sure that we’re going to win this election in 2024.”
