A 13-year-old boy died after being shot in the head inside a Florida home on Saturday night, as per the reports.
According to WTVJ, the boy was playing computer games with a group of children in Miami Gardens when they got a hold of a gun and it went off. The youngster was struck in the back of the skull and died in the hospital.
According to WTVJ, at least one adult was present at the time, and other people are being questioned.
“A lot of people do have firearms these days and it’s up to us to ensure that if we’re going to have firearms in our home, to keep them locked up and make sure they stay away from the reach of kids,” Emmanuel Jeanty, an officer with the Miami Gardens Police Department
The identity of the boy has not been revealed.
