Former President Trump’s daughter-in-law Lara Trump said Tuesday that she believes wary GOP voters would rally around the former president in November, and that former Ambassador Nikki Haley’s route to the nomination is practically “impossible.”
“I think so. I don’t see any world in which someone who loves this country, who wants to see this country succeed again, who wants to see people basically return to a time when they could achieve their American dream, I don’t see any of those people ever voting for Joe Biden,” Trump told Fox News Digital in New Hampshire Tuesday when asked if she believes Republicans who did not support Trump in the primary will support him in November.
“We know, of any candidate who has been running in this election for president of the United States, there is only one who has done it successfully, It’s Donald Trump and maybe you don’t like every tweet, maybe you don’t like his personality at times, but he kept us safe,” he went on to say. “He kept us strong. He made the people rich. He truly reenergized the American spirit, which is something we desperately need right now. I don’t see anyone who truly loves this nation voting for Joe Biden.”
Lara Trump spoke with Fox News Digital hours before Trump’s record-breaking third New Hampshire primary victory and discussed Haley’s chances of winning in South Carolina next month.
“Polling for Nikki Haley does not indicate that she would likely win her home state,” Trump stated in a statement. “I think you look at New Hampshire, and you have Nevada coming up; she hasn’t even registered for the caucuses there yet. That is the only method to obtain delegates from the voting there.”
“So I believe her route to victory is tiny, if not negligible, and unachievable at this time. Politically, I’m not sure it would be the best move for her to remain in this election.”
Trump went on to say, “The reality is that we must attack our enemies. The adversary is Joe Biden. We need to take back the White House. We aim to retake the Senate. We need more Republicans in the House because we truly have a country to save. I don’t think it’s hyperbole to say that if Joe Biden wins this race in 2024, I don’t think we’ll have the same country after another term of Joe Biden as president as we did when Donald Trump left office.”
If unhappy Republicans rally around former President Trump in November, Lara Trump told Fox News Digital that Biden is gifting Republicans a victory by doing a “masterful” job advocating for them despite his unpopular ideas.
“That’s not to say that we don’t have our work cut out for us,” Trump told reporters. “We are aware that we are dealing with a hostile mainstream media that does not like Donald Trump and is always in the pocket of liberals, who are essentially the marketing arm for the Democratic Party at this moment.
“We are up against a lot, and we don’t take anything for granted, so I believe we will have to work. But, yeah, Joe Biden has certainly delivered it up to us on a silver platter.”
