Emergency Alert for Georgia-Florida Border Amid Weather Concerns

As severe weather moves throughout Georgia and Florida, tornadoes may have touched down along the state line.

Thunderstorms and hail were prevalent across the southeast on Sunday, and many individuals documented the terrible weather with videos and images.

Roy Kirkland gave Storyful a video of a suspected tornado in downtown Valdosta, Georgia, on Sunday evening.

Valdosta is approximately 15 miles north of the Florida state boundary.

Storms raged across Florida Sunday afternoon and evening, as a low-pressure system pushed into Northern Florida and the Southeast.

The National Weather Service issued many severe weather warnings for Central Florida, including Orlando, Flagler, and Brevard counties.

Over the next few hours, thunderstorms are forecast to advance near the Florida coast.

The isolated tornado risk remains until 9 p.m.
