Woman arrested for allegedly breaking car windshields with bricks in LA County

Police have detained a woman accused of throwing bricks to damage the windshields of parked cars in Los Angeles County.

Lisa Jones, age 30, was identified as the suspect by police. She was arrested at the LAPD’s West L.A. station on charges of felony vandalism.

Investigators made the arrest at about noon on Wednesday. They claim they did not discover a brick in her car, but there were other materials linking her to the crime. Additional facts about the arrest were not immediately available.

Jones’ alleged offenses range from Venice to Woodland Hills to downtown Los Angeles. On Tuesday, some Burbank homeowners were the victims of brazen attacks, which officials believe were carried out by the same person. According to police, three automobiles were vandalized off Brighton Street.

According to Madai Bautista, the suspect threw a brick on her van’s windshield.

This comes after several other people came forward and said their automobiles were also destroyed.

Authorities worked hard to identify the suspect who was captured on film carrying out the attacks. Newly collected footage revealed a clear image of the culprit.

A couple in Woodland Hills came out after viewing an ABC7 broadcast on Monday about similar instances in West Los Angeles and Venice.

“I was shocked this morning. I wake up, put on ABC7, and there’s a big story about this woman. “I yell up to my wife, ‘Amy the brick person is on television,'” Dave Goodman explained. Konstantin Ivonin claims his car was keyed in a parking garage in downtown Los Angeles in March.

Police claimed the reason for the attacks is unknown. Anyone with information on this crime should contact the Los Angeles Police Department immediately.
