A Tallahassee man was charged with attempting to kill his roommate and is in incarcerated. The probable cause document for his arrest states as much.
According to court records, Alexander Christian, 37, is accused of attempting to kill his roommate during the Saturday altercation that resulted in non-life-threatening injuries.
According to the complaint, Christian is charged with killing his roommate by stabbing him with a butter knife and hitting him with a pan. According to court records, Christian said, “He probably would feel worse and would be locked up for life,” when asked if killing his roommate would have made him feel better.
According to court records, police were called to the 3000 block of Parkridge Drive on Saturday in reference to a person who had just been stabbed.
According to court filings, an officer had already arrived on the site and was holding Christian when the cops arrived. When the other responding cops arrived, the officer who had previously been on the site reported that Christian was outside the house, smoking a cigarette. That’s what the court documents say.
Christian was questioned by the police about a possible injury in the house. According to court filings, Christian told the officer that he had stabbed and battered his roommate with a skillet at that point.
According to court filings, other responding police found the roommate inside the house “on his stomach, unable to move, with significant blood on the back of his neck and bed consistent with being stabbed and beaten.”
According to court papers, “the skillet was significantly warped due to the impacts” placed on the roommate’s head.
Christian told police that night that his roommate was using foul language toward him, and that “he had enough, stating he’snapped,'” according to arrest records.
According to the affidavit, Christian acknowledged striking his roommate ten times on the head while holding a skillet in his right hand, leading him to assume the roommate had passed out. Officers were informed by Christian that at that point he flung the skillet, exited the bedroom, and went to get a butter knife from the kitchen. The affidavit confirms this as well.
According to court records, “he went back to the bedroom and proceeded to stab (the roommate) four times in the head.” According to court documents, Christian claimed he stabbed his roommate with the intention of killing him, aiming for his eye.
The roommate told the police that he and Christian got into a fight, which led him to refer to Christian negatively. That’s what the court filings say.
Without any problems, Christian was brought to the Leon County Jail.
