Raiders quarterback Gardner Minshew is out for the season with a broken collarbone

HENDERSON, Nev. (AP) — Coach Antonio Pierce announced Monday that Gardner Minshew, the quarterback for the Las Vegas Raiders, will miss the remainder of the season due to a broken collarbone.

Pierce stated that when the Raiders play the Kansas City Chiefs on Friday, Aidan O. Connell, who is on injured reserve due to a broken thumb, might be able to start.

Desmond Ridder, who took Minshew’s place when he was hurt late in Sunday’s 29-19 loss to the Denver Broncos, is another option the Raiders may use.
