Police in Schenectady say a guy from Niskayuna hit a woman with his automobile and fled the scene, leading to his arrest.
Around 1:18 a.m., police were called to the intersection of Union Street and Nott Terrace after receiving a report of a woman who was lying in the street. After receiving on-scene care, the 41-year-old lady was transported to Albany Medical Center, where her condition is still critical.
According to authorities, the car was identified as a 2024 Tesla registered to a Niskayuna address. Richard I. Gordon, 29, the driver, was taken into custody and accused of speeding, a license plate violation, and fleeing the scene of an accident.
He was set free and is scheduled to return to court in December.
