Car Collides With Light Rail Train in Folsom, Prompting Gold Line Disruption

Following a collision between a vehicle and a light rail train at a crossing in Folsom on Monday morning, an investigation is currently underway into the incident.

According to the Folsom police, the collision took place at approximately nine o’clock in the morning close to the intersection of Folsom Boulevard and Blue Ravine Road.

It is not entirely clear what exactly led up to the collision. The driver of the vehicle reportedly had minor injuries, according to the officers.

According to the authorities, there were no additional injuries reported.

An advisory of an interruption in service has been issued by SacRT for individuals who are attempting to travel along the Gold Line between Historic Folsom and Sunrise. There is now a bus bridge in place.
