School Bus Flips After Being T-boned by Pickup Truck in Hinds County

A school bus flipped during a crash in Hinds County, prompting many officials to respond.

The incident occurred on Thursday morning at the crossroads of Highway 18 and Midway Road near Raymond.

According to Hinds County Sheriff Tyree Jones, the bus overturned after seeming to be T-boned by a pickup truck near the intersection.

According to the Mississippi Highway Patrol, the bus carried two adults and a toddler.

The three occupants of the school bus, as well as the truck driver, were injured and sent to a local hospital. The seriousness of the injuries is currently unknown.

Sheriff Jones stated that the driver of the pickup truck was an off-duty transportation detention officer on his way to work.

The Mississippi Highway Patrol and other authorities were on the scene, directing traffic.
