An accident involving a single vehicle occurred on Loving Road in Union County on Saturday, June 21, resulting in the injury of one individual.
Because of the location of the vehicle, firefighters had to use forcible entry extrication tools in order to create an entryway that was large enough to remove the victim, according to a post that was made on Facebook by Union County Volunteer Fire-Rescue Station 4.
After being transported by Union General Emergency Medical Services to a landing zone at Volunteer Fire Station 7, the driver was subsequently airlifted to Erlanger Hospital’s Life Force 6 for surgical treatment.
Responding firefighters included three volunteer firefighters from Station 4, as well as three additional firefighters from Station 13.
