Motorcycle Crash in Nacogdoches County Leaves One Dead, One Injured

One person was killed and another injured in a motorcycle accident in Nacogdoches County.

According to the Lilbert-Looneyville Volunteer Fire Department, emergency crews responded to the crash around 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the 10100 block of SH-204. When personnel arrived, they discovered that bystanders had begun performing CPR on the passenger while others were tending to the driver.

Firefighters took over CPR and treated the driver for injuries. Nacogdoches County EMS transported the driver to Nacogdoches Medical Center for further evaluation and treatment of his injuries.

The passenger on the motorcycle was pronounced dead on the scene.

During the crash investigation, crews discovered that the motorcycle’s rear tire had blown out, causing the driver to lose control. According to the Lilbert-Looneyville VFD, neither the driver nor the passenger were local residents.
