Located in Monmouth County, to the south of Asbury Park, lies this small seaside village. This little town is charming, and serene, and offers wonderful beach walks every day. I think this Jersey Shore village has the ideal atmosphere.
Which Jersey Shore hamlet is among the state’s most underappreciated?
It boasts lovely soft sand, a peaceful beach, a charming city, and stunning Victorian homes. I adore cycling through this charming tiny coastal hamlet in Monmouth County. It’s Spring Lake.
We always adored Spring Lake, and when I was little, my aunt and uncle had a friend who lived there. Always the most enjoyable. How is it that this small village is among the most overlooked? Perhaps because it’s one of the Jersey Shore’s hidden gems. It’s a lovely, serene beach town.
Belmar and Asbury Park are nearby. However, compared to some, Spring Lake, Seagirt, and Ocean Grove are three of the calmer Jersey Shore beach communities.
In terms of beaches, onlyinyourstate.com claims that Spring Lake Beach is the most underappreciated in New Jersey. I have to concur. The sand is fine and silky, and it’s never crowded. Spring Lake is a family-friendly village that has always made me think of family. I can’t help but smile.
