Winter storm warning in effect for much of Capital Region

Parts of the Capital Region are under a winter storm warning through 1 a.m. Friday, according to the National Weather Service.

This encompasses Herkimer and Hamilton counties, as well as Warren, Fulton, northern Saratoga, Montgomery, Schoharie, western Schenectady, western Albany, western Greene, and western Ulster counties.

A winter storm warning is also in effect for western Windham County and Bennington County.
