A 49-year-old man died after a car sped past a stop sign and collided with his motorcycle Wednesday evening in Far East El Paso.
According to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, Jason Owens died in the hospital from injuries sustained when a car collided with his Harley-Davidson bike as he rode north on Krag Street.
The crash was reported about 7:15 p.m.
Investigators suspect the car, a Mercedes, failed to obey a stop sign at the intersection of Krag Street and Santiesteban Lane, resulting in the fatal crash.
The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office has not stated whether the driver of the Mercedes is facing charges.
The probe is still ongoing.
