During the afternoon on Friday, a woman was struck by a car at a major crossroads in Coral Springs, and she passed away as a result of her injuries.
As the sun was setting, the collision took place close to the intersection of Wiles Road and University Drive.
The pedestrian, who was an adult female, sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to Broward Health North via helicopter. Police stated that she was later pronounced dead at the hospital where she was taken.
One of the drivers involved remained at the scene of the accident.
